Wind Horse Coral Reef

Say hello to your new favorite conversation piece. This crochet coral reef features a cluster of individual organic shapes and clusters sewn together to mimic an undersea scene. There are unfurling fronds, hyperbolic folds, tower-like tubes, and something like anemone beds. Some of the yarns used are handspun from roving. Others, like a vintage gold-tone cord scavenged from a rummage sale hull, are decidedly manufactured. The color scheme is inspired by the Tibetan prayer flag that overlooks my sister's garden.
